The Recipe

Are an award winning event catering company based in Old St, London. Set up in 2006, the-recipe have built a reputation for providing impeccable catering for corporate & private clients looking to give their event, that extra edge.

After serving the recipe for many years in regards to light catering equipment and disposables, we were approached by the MD in regards to moving there kitchen from Hoxton to Shoreditch in East London. After many discussions we came up with a kitchen design that utilised some of there existing kitchen equipment along with a list of new equipment including Falcon Dominator Bratt Pans - Fryers - Ranges and Lincat 20 grid Rational along with four Foster Coldstore Coldrooms.

The Project from Start to finish took approx 6 months to complete with installation of the equipment completed within a 2 week window.

The Recipe now have a kitchen that can service and cook for up to 1000 people.


Shacklwell Primary School

Project value - £25k

After completely refurbishing there kitchen, We were asked by Our client at Shacklwell primary School in Hackney to come up with a bespoke design for there servery area that needed a serious update. The school serve up to 400 meals every day and needed something a bit Funky and modern to facilitate their food provision.

We Came up with a bespoke design that included a bespoke Moffat Catering Hot top counter and Long Life pull down heat lamps to allow for ease of service.

We designed laminate to go along the front of each counter and along the main wall along with a living strapline made out of moss that was attached to the main wall. The Strapline being chosen by the children.

This is now a very nice area for the children to come and collect there food, the food also prsents much better in crockery Gastronorms other than in the old Bain maries that they currently had.


Woodberry Down School

We were asked to design and spec a kitchen at Woodberry Down school in Hackney to enable them to feed up to 500 children.

The design and full Cad drawing started August 2015 and Installation was undertaken August 2016.

We installed 2 x Rational 10 grid combi ovens aswell as a Falcon Dominator Suite including 2 x ranges - 2 x Double fyers and Bratt Pan all under a 5 metre centre island canopy with heated fresh air going into the ceiling void.

Being a school of this size, unlike many schools we installed 2 large coldrooms. The servery had drop down lights to a heated thermotop counter to allow for ease or service.
